Consider packing
The ship will have a daily dress code ranging from informal/casual to formal and you might sometimes change multiple times a day
- Bring enough clothing based on the length of the cruise to be able to relax by the pool or go to the disco at night
- Plan for formal night at least once on shorter cruises and often more on longer cruises (7+ night cruises tend to have 2+ formal nights)
- Remember shoes for each occasion: flip flops, sneakers, dress shoes
Other must haves
- a carry on with first day essentials (you wont have access to your luggage for hours on day 1)
- sunscreen & aloe
- hat
- toiletries (in a spill proof bag)
- medications
- Dramamine (just in case, expensive on the ship)
- puzzles, books, magazines
- camera with extra memory card
- cash (for in port)
- passport (with digital copy on your phone)
- phone charger
- binoculars
- small inflatable beach float (for the kids at the beach, expensive to rent)
- wrinkle release spray and stain remover pen
